The Valet/Porter function is to courteously and efficiently meet and exceed customer expectations by providing assistance in the service lane reception area. He/she is responsible for moving customer vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility and increase customer convenience and maintain an efficient service parking area. BENEFITS: * Free Health Insurance Option Available * 401k Match Options Available * HSA company match contribution * Dental and Vision Insurance Available * Paid Vacations, Holiday Pay, PTO pay * Career advancement opportunities, promote from within * Discounts on products and services * Family owned and operated * Long term job security ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Install seat, steering wheel, floor protection and ID tags in all vehicles taken in for service * Ensure that all vehicles in the lot are locked * Maintain the parking lot in an organized, efficient manner * Keep new and used vehicles lots neat and orderly * Move customer and dealership vehicles as directed * Maintain new and used vehicles' appearance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing fluids and replacing batteries as needed * Operate overhead doors to assist customers and service employees * Remove the protective coverings and ID tags installed in the vehicle, prior to returning the completed vehicle to the customer * Inspect the vehicle for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damages to management immediately * Remain in the service write-up area unless performing another task as directed * Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations, such as safety requirements, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, Right-to-Know, etc. * Clean dealership areas (e.g., walkways and sidewalks) as needed QUALIFICATIONS: * One year experience in an automobile retail environment * Must have valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record and safe driving habits in order to drive both customer vehicles and a demonstrator vehicle * Must be insurable * Ability to collaborate with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time * Ability to collaborate with other dealership personnel * Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity * Maintain a high level of professional personal appearance and conduct * Proficient knowledge of tools and materials needed to perform departmental duties ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
